Geoffroy de Schrevel started his career at University Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) after being a fellow researcher at Cornell University (Ithaca, USA). He then moved on to develop business in Eastern Europe and the Middle East for Europay International (now part of MasterCard International) where he built several real-time based payments and financial infrastructures. He also pioneered the financial industry adoption of a standardized ICC technology for payment cards.
After several years in management consulting with KPMG, Geoffroy joined SWIFT where he headed the Global Payments Infrastructure team before leading the EMEA Banking and Corporate Initiative group. Much of his more than 20 years experience is in developing strategic initiatives and building successful business in an international environment. Geoffroy is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world where he is often appreciated as a straight talker on complex issues.
Geoffroy joined Gambit Financial Solutions as CEO in 2009.
Vincent Questiaux is a Civil Engineer at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium. Starting his career as a consultant at Accenture in 1997, Vincent has implemented and later conducted critical strategy, technology and outsourcing projects for the largest banking and insurance groups in Europe. In the years 1999-2000, Vincent was instrumental in the early deployments of transactional internet capabilities rolled out by life insurers, retail banks and online traders. He later contributed to large M&A programs in Belgium and Netherlands, and to the setup by a major global institution of the first shared service centres for payments. Vincent joined SWIFT Payments Division in 2007 , with the responsibility of driving the development and the delivery of the cooperative’s SEPA offering. The solutions developed by Vincent for SEPA helped European banks rationalizing their payments infrastructures and minimize costs of compliance. In 2009 Vincent rolled out the SWIFT retail payments offering on a global basis, enabling substantial cost savings for global banks.
Vincent joined Gambit in 2010 as Head of Marketing and Sales.
Georges Hübner (Ph.D., INSEAD) is Deloitte Professor of Financial Management, co-chair of the Finance Department and Board member of HEC-Liège. He is also Associate Professor of Finance at Maastricht University and Affiliate Professor at EDHEC (Lille/Nice). Georges regularly provides preparation seminars for the GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) and CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) certifications.
He has published numerous books and research articles about credit risk, hedge funds and derivatives. He obtained the best paper award 2002 of the Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Operational Risk & Compliance Achievement Award 2006 for the best academic paper. He is the inventor of the Generalized Treynor Ratio, a popular portfolio performance measure.
Georges is co-founder of Gambit Financial Solutions and a member of his board. As Chief Scientific Officer, he heads our team of academics and researchers and ensures that our solutions incorporates the business benefits of the latest innovations in Financial and Risk management.
Frédéric Duquenne holds a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Liège, Belgium. Frédéric has further completed his academic education with a specialisation in Finance. Frédéric has close to ten years of experience in financial software design. Before joining Gambit, Frédéric worked at the University of Liège during four years as researcher on Financial optimisation projects. His research involved the parameterization of utility functions and the development of profiling algorithms, of profile-based risk measures and of algorithms designed to resolve large-scale optimization financial problems.
He has co-authored several publications on hedge fund asset allocation with Daniel Capocci. Their focus was the estimation of the enhancement of efficient frontiers through the introduction of Hedge Funds in classical portfolios.
Frédéric co-founded Gambit Financial Solutions. He now heads Gambit IT division.
